50 Shades of Ruben France Sport

Ruben’s been on his shiny and white France Sport for a couple weeks. He admits Sunday was the first day of polo he’s played on this baby. It seemed to treat him well and hopefully it stays around to continue logging goals.

Weekend Recap

1a7f9646847b11e2917a22000a9f1587_7

The last week of February was wet and warm. Temps hovered above freezing and allowed our court to thaw and eventually dry. The pickup crowd gathered Sunday for the first time in who knows how long. Spirits were bright, cheap beer was plentiful, and a good time was had by all.

Meanwhile, Javier was busy slaying at the Great Lakes Winter Classic in Toronto alongside teamates Paul(New York) and Lomax (Pittsburg). Their team beat long time Boston rival Zach and Nate, on whom Jav scored the winning goal not once but TWICE. Jav’s teamed placed second behind the STACKED Ottawanian squad that was Robbie Alexis and Chris Proulx. Congratulations to everyone, you all kill it.

Our boys Zac and Tyler probably killed it in Austin, but we’ll wait until they are back home safe and sober to give you the scoop. Until then just search #roadtrypin on instagram.

Monday was pro night AND Toni’s birthday. So we gathered again at the courts to celebrate his aging alongside Jav’s victory, but we ended up burning his birthday present without him. Gus showed up and took some beautiful pictures.

Good Luck to Boston this weekend!

Despite the remnants of the NEMO blizzard still lingering, our little Boston polo scene is still hustling.

We had 5 teams make it to hockeytown last Sunday for our first ever “team night”. See the videos down below.

That was good warm up for Tyler and Zac who are road tripping from Boston to Austin for the

And Jav was getting fired up to play with Lomax (pitt) and Paul (new york) at the Great Lake Winter Classic By now Jav is the first seed going into Sundays double elimination rounds.

Sunny Sunday

Nature has been a kind kind mother the past few Sundays. We came to check on the court after a slushy and cold week and expected a schwag ice/snow combo across the boards. But to our stoke we found our space fully primed for a beefy sunday session. The Sun came out, Naomi made her return after being away in Berlin, and Gus brought his camera and captured a few moments, which we’d like to share with you:

Another night at Hockeytown USA – 2013 style

Boston bike polo is flocking to the suburbs tonight, Saugus to be exact, for some indoor winter polo. We want to play polo real bad but our courts are covered in an few inches of ice and snow (see the picture?). It would be too much work to clear off the courts manually, so we are opting to travel and rent some court time from our friends at Hockeytown USA. We also get the bonus of a Hooters right next door for a DANK polo/wings combo! Look forward to some sweet instagrams tonight, and hopefully some pro pictures from Gus later on

50 Shades of Rubens Car Stereo

This sunday Ruben showed up with a legit (car) stereo, that shit can crank! All it needs is a better set of speakers. He also brought along a new mallet with some next level mallet head attachment innovation. Feast your eyes!

Hockeytown Polo

Its winter – the sun is going down early and we only have streetlight to illuminate our pickup courts. So we head to hockeytown for some fully-lit polo with Northampton, MA and Burlington, VT joining to make it all the merrier. Those who hadn’t experienced it before took a moment to warm to the mylec surface and before long everyone got in some solid polo.
Rumor has it this will be the courts for the 2013 NAH Easyside Regional Qualifiers…

Gus and Sydney posted some photos….

And then you can hit up hooters next door to make it a dank combo
